ARC 2010
Taking part in the World Cruising Club’s Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC 2010) is a truly life changing experience! Around 225 sailing yachts in a variety of classes, with crews representing 28 countries and equipped to different specifications assemble in Las Palmas in Gran Canaria during the weeks in the run up to the great race start day.. ARC 2010 is an exceptionally well organised event with the World Cruising Club providing an unrivalled level of support for all those preparing for and then taking part in this 2800 nautical mile challenge.

Be Part of The ARC 2010 Team Onboard on of our 45 plus foot yachts. Knightime a new generation Beneteau Oceanis 46, was launched in 2008. She is currently being equipped and upgraded to provide an exceptional sailing adventure for the crew participation in ARC 2010. Berths onboard Knightime for ARC 2010 are limited to 6 in total including the skipper. Down below, the yacht offers 3 double cabins, 2 full sized heads with cubicle showers, large saloon and well equipped galley.
Crew are invited to join Knightime either on one or more of the important passages from Plymouth to Las Palmas, and or for the trans-Atlantic crossing itself. Legs: Typical Duration Cost Per Berth 1. Plymouth to La Coruna, Spain 7 days Early October 2010. £ 500.00 (via La Rochelle, approx 600 Nm)
2. La Coruna to Lagos, Portugal 5 days mid October 2010. £ 500.00 (via Cascais, approx 520Nm)
3. Lagos, Portugal to Las Palmas 7 days early November 2010. £ 500.00 (via Lanzarote, approx 700Nm)
ARC 2010. Las Palmas to St Lucia 20 days, 22nd November 2010. Arriving on or around £1,250.00 12th December 2010. (This includes accommodation onboard for up to 5 days ahead of start & 24hrs after arrival in St Lucia incl. breakfast)
The ARC crossing is offered on a contribution to expenses basis, these expenses are as follows: Equipment upgrade and maintenance (including satellite telephone installation) Yacht Insurance (additional premium for ARC) Diesel costs Food and non-alcoholic drinks onboard Race and event entry costs Berthing, shore power and water replenishment Crew ‘team’ clothing Items not included Flights to and from point of embarkation and leg destination Meals taken whilst off the yacht Alcohol Satellite communication usage during Atlantic crossing
