Day Charter on our Luxurious Sail or Motor Boat

Skippered Luxury Day Charter available for both our 40' Sailing Boat and our 40' Motor Boat all year round.(boats have full central heating for winter trips)

Sail or Motor along the beautiful Devon coastline, swim whilst at anchor or just enjoy the experience of a day afloat. Be stunned by the wonderful wildlife that can be seen on a trip like this. (Seals, dolphins, gannets, cormorants, herons, oystercatchers to name but a few!)

Pop out to sea and then finish your day with a trip up the River Dart, it's your day and your agenda, our Skipper will just advise.

Your day starts by boarding Your chosen boat at Darthaven Marina usually around 10.30am.

Both boats are very luxurious inside and out with comfortable sofas inside and dining tables for alfresco or inside lunches. Toilet facilites are second to none. Tv Dvd and games are available if you are able to drag your self away from the stunning scenery!

You can choose from a wonderful finger buffet lunch on board, possibly at anchor in a bay, or lunch ashore in another port.

Back into Dartmouth around 5pm.

Sailing boat £399 including a wonderful buffet lunch (up to 6 guests)

or £349 if you want to go ashore and sort out lunch yourselves (up to 6 guests)

Motor boat  £699 including a wonderful buffet lunch (Up to 8 guests)

or £649 if you want to go ashore and sort out lunch yourselves (up to 8 guests)

We now have two luxurious boats available as the "Retreat Boat". One is a brand new Dufour 385 Yacht, and the other is our very spacious Fairline 40’ Motor Cruiser.

Read below for details of how our "Retreat Boat Charter" works, or consider hiring them on a daily basis for skippered trips around the Dart and surrounding areas. Charter our boat on a daily basis for groups, couples, fishing, picnics, weddings, and birthdays etc. great day trips.

The "Retreat Boat" Charter works as follows:

For those thinking about a weekend break or even a longer trip maybe the whole week, you can charter our boats as "The Retreat Boat" This means we will skipper the boat when you want us to, and take you on a trip of your choice, weather permitting and we then moor your party up overnight and leave you alone for the night secure on a mooring buoy or in a marina whichever you prefer. You will have full use of our tender, whilst moored up, for trips ashore. (boat handling experience is essential for use of the tender).
We provide a welcome food pack on arrival of some essentials. (Eggs, bacon, cheese, milk, bread, butter, condiments, tea, coffee etc). All linen/towels are provided.

The Facilities on Board The Yacht

Our Dufour 385 Yacht has the following on board: king size bed in forward cabin with side settee/ 2 double cabins at the back of the boat / shower / toilet / cooker / large fridge/CD/DVD/Flat Screen TV/kingsize occasional bed in saloon area. Sleeps 8.

All the latest navigation equipment incl. Chartplotter / Radar / VHF etc.

The Facilities On Board The Motor Boat

The Motor Boat has the following facilities on board: 2 showers/cooker/2 fridges/microwave/coffee macine / CD  /DVD / Flat Screen TV/kingsize bed in its own cabin/2 single beds in their own cabin/kingsize occasional bed in saloon area /2 toilets.Sleeps 6.
All the latest navigation equipment incl. Chartplotter / GPS / radar / VHF/DSC



Depending on which vessel you choose a typical trip could be:
Pick up Dartmouth leisurely trip to Salcombe Harbour, if a nice day, maybe anchor off one of the beaches for a picnic and swimming along the way, moor onto a mooring buoy for the night, dinner in Salcombe Town, breakfast on board and a tour of Plymouth Sound during the day, moor up overnight in the River Yealm, back to Dartmouth with dinner in one of Dartmouth’s renowned restaurants/or a romantic dinner on board, moored up in a marina, or on a mooring buoy for the night, with a final tour of the River Dart.
This makes an excellent romantic break/honeymoon treat, or a great family holiday, if you introduce some crabbing and mackerel fishing.

Corporate Entertainment
Let us take your team out for a day to remember, let them build a good working relationship whilst helming our Fairline Flybridge motor cruiser on the lovely Devon coast, whether it’s negotiating the sand bar going into Salcombe or enjoying a fully catered lunch/evening meal. We also have very comfortable overnight accommodation aboard.
Our motor cruiser is fully fitted with all means of luxuries, from cappuccino machines, to showers, fridges, TV/DVD, and not forgetting a full range of navigational equipment.
Either combine a trip on the motor cruiser with a trip on our very fast zodiac rib or just book our rib and enjoy speeds in excess of 30+ knots - a very different and thrilling experience. Learn about high speed manoeuvres, or handling the boat in slightly rougher conditions.
